BR-101/RJ – Rio-Niterói Bridge (Contract Signed)
Objective
The project comprises a total of 13.2km, including the access to the President Costa e Silva Bridge (Niterói) portion of the BR-101/RJ- Entr. RJ-071 (linha Vermelha).
Includes all elements that integrate its domain, including access points and loops, buildings and terrain, lanes, hard shoulder, works of art and any other elements, as well as the areas occupied by operational and administrative premises related to the Concession.
Description
Concession for exploring the infrastructure and public service provision of operations, maintenance, monitoring, conservation and implementation of improvements to the Roads System.
Main compulsory works:
- Implementing an exit from the Roads System to the Linha Vermelha (around 2.5km in length), so that Rio-Niterói Bridge users heading towards Baixada Fluminense avoid Avenida Brasil;
- Implementing an underpass under Praça Renascença in Niterói with the aim of improving traffic flow;
- Implementing Avenida Portuária (around 3.1km in length), allowing heavy vehicles from Avenida Brasil to access the port area (Gate 32).
Duration of consession: 30 years
Estimated investment: R$ 1.3 billion
