The federal government will closely monitor all inquiries into the murder of councillor Marielle Franco and her driver on Wednesday night in Rio de Janeiro. Public Security Minister Raul Jungmann has spoken with the federal intervenor in the state, general Walter Braga Netto, and made the Federal Police available to assist in any investigations.
