Bolsonaro’s health shows sign of steady recovery
President Jair Bolsonaro is still recovering and has seen improvements in his health status after undergoing surgery to remove the colostomy bag, according to a medical report from the Albert Einstein Hospital released on Tuesday (February 5).
According to the hospital, the president shows no pain or fever and has increased bowel activity. Exams showed improvement, and Bolsonaro continues to undergo antibiotic treatment to avoid infectious disease.
Government actions
In a statement to the press, Presidential spokesperson General Barros said there is still no medical discharge in sight for Bolsonaro, but that government actions such as pension reform are being discussed by his cabinet and will be presented after his recovery.
"Soon, as soon as he is available to do so, the president will decide on the course of action to be presented to Congress," he said with regard to the coming reform bill.
