Comic Con Experience begins this Thursday in São Paulo

From Thursday to Sunday (6 to 9 December), the city of São Paulo hosts the Comic Con Experience (CCXP), one of the world's biggest pop culture events. The programme includes several activities aimed at lovers of games, comics, cinema, music, literature and TV series.

Some of the main stars of today will be present at the event. This year's lineup features guaranteed appearances by Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson, who plays Captain Marvel; actor Michael B. Jordan, who will be promoting his latest movie, Creed II; and the young Caleb Mclaughlin, Noah Schnapp and Sadie Sink, known worldwide for their roles in the Stranger Things series, as well as a dozens more celebrities invited to the CCXP.

In addition to the artists, Hollywood movie and TV studios will also attend, bringing exclusive previews and panels. Other major highlights are the stands set up by studios, brands and companies; the participation of comic book artists and masters; the amazing cosplayers; and a sales area, where geek culture fans can find a huge variety of items to buy.

Held since 2014, the CCXP is considered the largest Comic Con in the World. Last year's edition alone drew 227,000 visitors. In the four years, a total 640,000 people have attended the event, including 130 film and TV series artists and more than 1,500 comic artists and illustrators.

The entire event takes place at São Paulo Expo, located at Rodovia dos Imigrantes, km 1,5, in the Barra Funda district.
