More than 2.3 million new vehicles were licensed in Brazil between January and November this year, making it the best result for the period since 2015. The data were released this Thursday (6) by the National Association of Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea).

The result obtained in the first 11 months of the year also represents a growth of 15% compared to last year, when a little more than 2 million new vehicles were licensed.

The country also licensed 68.4 thousand new trucks in the period, compared to 45.9 thousand in the past year (up 49%), in addition to 13,600 buses, compared to 10,500 in 2017 (+29.3%).

Tractors

The positive performance of the automotive sector can also be seen in the statistics on domestic sales of agricultural and road maintenance machinery, which increased by 11.9% in comparison with the same period in 2017. So far, 43.4 thousands units of this category have been sold in 2018, up from 38.8 thousand in the past year.

The data from Anfavea also shows that total production of agricultural machinery also went up: 60.2 thousand in 2018, against 50.4 thousand in 2017 (growth of 19.4%).
