Results reached with inspection actions and environmental conservation policies were presented on Tuesday (4) by the Brazilian government, during the Climate Conference (COP 24) in Poland.

According to the Ministry of Environment, 231 inspection operations were conducted in the Amazon between August 2017 and July 2018. In addition, 243 million hectares, in the nine states where the biome is found, have been placed under embargo. In the period, 6,192 environmental violation notices were issued.

Over 190 countries signatories of the UN Convention on Climate Change are in Poland until 14 December, in an attempt to move forward with international measures against global warming.
