After attending two plenary sessions, President Michel Temer said he saw progress during the G20 meetings held on Friday (30 November) in Buenos Aires. According to Temer, the Summit has produced results, strengthened cooperation between countries and advocated for more multilateralism.

“The G20 meeting was very productive. It's producing results. I congratulated President [Mauricio] Macri for that,” he said, in reference to Argentine President Mauricio Macri, who currently presides the group. For Temer, the prevailing thesis at the summit is that of multilateralism, against isolationism.

Topics related to labour and technological innovation were part of the agenda in the first day of discussions at the G20 Summit. In the President's view, isolationist ideas have arisen because of tensions the world is currently experiencing, but he believes greater openness will do good for everyone.
