Temer attends President Piñera's inauguration in Chile
President Michel Temer travelled to Chile on Sunday (11) to attend the inauguration ceremony of Chilean President Sebastián Piñera. In social networks, Temer said that Brazil and Chile "share a similar worldview". At a news conference, the president recalled that the two countries have a trade relationship of more than US$ 8 billion, which has been increasing since 2015.

I insisted on coming personally to Valparaíso to compliment @sebastianpinera and wish him success on his new term heading the @GobiernodeChile. #Brasil and #Chile have very strong trade relations, and we share very similar worldviews.
After the ceremony, Temer met with Argentine President Mauricio Macri and discussed the recent progress in the EU-Mercosur agreement negotiations. The chancellors of the two blocs will meet to define the agreement in the near future, he predicted. "The foreign ministers of the European Union and Mercosur are going to meet very soon, and I think that, after 19 years, Macri and I agree, we may finally close the agreement between Mercosur and the European Union".
Michel Temer also met with Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski. Among the items discussed was a possible alliance between Mercosur and the Pacific Alliance.
