New National Tourism Plan foresees creation of 2 million job

Brazil launched the 2018-2022 National Tourism Plan on Tuesday (27 March). The main targets are the creation of 2 million new jobs in the sector, increasing the number of national and international tourists, and driving additional tourism revenue. The Plan outlines the core strategies for the implementation of the National Tourism Policy from now to 2022.
Brazil is planning to increase the number of jobs created by the sector to 9 million by 2022. Targets were also established for tourist inflows (including 39.7 million Brazilians in the travel consumer market and increasing the number of international tourists in the country from 6.6 million to 12 million) and tourist revenue (raising it from the current US$ 6.6 billion to US$ 19 billion in 2022
