Around 400,000 foreign tourists are expected to join the 10.6 million Brazilians who will travel around Brazil in the revelry period

Carnival is one of the most important holidays for tourism in Brazil. According to the Ministry of Tourism (Mtur), this year the party should break an attendance record, with 400 thousand foreign tourists expected to join the 10.6 million Brazilians who will be traveling in the period. This is expected to bring 11.14 billion reais into the country's economy. The Brazilian Hotel Industry Association (ABIH) believes that next weekend's celebrations will cause occupancy rates to rise up to 95% in several states.
