If the bill is not passed, the President anticipates possible delays in the payment of salaries and precarious services for the population

With a vote scheduled for 19 February in the Chamber of Deputies, the pension reform bill, if approved, will make for a better Brazil for all Brazilians, according to President Michel Temer. "When changes are made to the pension system, people realise, if I may say so, that there was no nightmare to be afraid of. Actually, what happens is that it improves the country. And so it is soon applauded", he said.

During a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace: to officially sign contracts with the winning bidders of the last pre-salt oil auctions, the president highlighted the size of the consequences in case the bill is not passed. "By saying this, I'm highlighting a glimpse of what could happen to Brazil if the pension system is not fixed. Let me say them again: late salaries, precarious public services, pensions at risk. We do not want to allow this to happen," he said.
