The electronic visa for Canadian tourists wanting to visit Brazil started this Thursday (18). The number of Canadian nationals expected to visit the country reaches 87,629 yearly. Canada is the third country to have benefited from this facilitating measure provided for in the Brazil + Tourism programme.
To request the document, travellers must go to http://www.vfsglobal.com/brazil-evisa/. Through the system, every procedure, including the fees, analysis, awarding and issuing of the visa last up to 72 hours. The permit is valid for two years and does not stop those interested in requesting the traditional visa in the Brazilian consulate.
Before Canada, the electronic visa had already been put in place in Australia (November) and Japan. The United States will be the last country in this stage to have this facilitating measure made available to them, starting next week.
