President Temer expresses condolences to victims of the attack in Las Vegas
President Michel Temer expressed his condolences to the victims of the attack that took place this Sunday (1 October) in Las Vegas, in the United States. More than 50 people died and about 500 were injured in the attack.
There are no records of Brazilians among the victims, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. "Brazil condemns this act of violence and expresses, with consternation, its condolences to the families of the victims and extends its wishes of a full and quick recovery to the wounded," it read.
The situation is being monitored by the Brazilian Consulate General in Los Angeles. The Brazilian Foreign Ministry (MRE)’s consular service centre for Brazilians is available for clarification from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, by phone on +55 61 2030 8803 and +55 61 2030 8804, as well as by e-mail at dac@itamaraty.gov.br .
