Government provides assistance to Brazilians in areas hit by hurricane and earthquake

Embassies are on alert to provide for any emergency. On Twitter, President Michel Temer expressed his sympathy towards victims

With Hurricane Irma passing through the Caribbean and United States, and an earthquake taking place in southern Mexico, the President of the Republic Michel Temer, determined that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs assist Brazilians in the regions affected.

In a message on Twitter, the President of the Republic also expressed his sympathy towards the victims of both natural disasters. So far, according to the Foreign Ministry, there is no record of Brazilians being among the earthquake victims.

In the areas affected by Hurricane Irma, Brazilian embassies and consulates are on alert and ready to deal with any emergency involving Brazilian citizens.
